Tigers Host Annual Auburn Invitational

AUBURN - The Tigers men and women's cross country teams will host the
annual Auburn Invitational on Monday, Oct. 11 at the Indian Pines Golf
Course.

The men's 8K is slated to begin at 9:30 a.m. CT with the women's 5K
to follow at 10:30 a.m. Auburn welcomes five SEC teams to the meet
including Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina and
Vanderbilt, as well as more than 15 other non-conference opponents.

Results from both races will be available following the women's race
and can be accessed at http://www.cfpitiming.com and/or
http://www.auburntigers.com

The teams took last week off from competition to prepare for the Auburn
meet. On Sept. 25 the men and women competed at the Paul Short Run in
Bethlehem, Pa., where junior Angela Homan captured the women's title
and the men placed third overall.

For her personal best performance at the Paul Short Run, Homan earned
SEC Cross Country Athlete of the Week; Auburn's second honor this
season. Andrew Heath also garnered the award in September after winning
the Georgia State Invite.

After the Auburn Invite, the teams will begin preparations for the SEC
Championships on Oct. 30 in Fayetteville, Ark.

Directions to Indian Pines Golf Course:
From I-85, take exit 57 - West. When you get to the stoplight, make a
left onto Glenn Ave. At the next light, University Dr., make a right.
The golf course will be on your right, before you get to the railroad
tracks.
