Dec. 12, 2016 Best XI Team List

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn soccer senior Casie Ramsier was selected to the 2016 TopDrawerSoccer.com's Best XI Team, the organization announced Tuesday.

Ramsier earned a spot on the second team, marking the third time an Auburn player has garnered a spot in the top teams and the first since 2010 when both Katy Frierson and Julie King were awarded.

The midfielder saved her best for last and capped one of the top careers in Auburn soccer history during her final campaign.

Ramsier set career marks with 31 points and seven assists, while matching her previous season-best of 12 goals in both 2015 and 2016.

Ramsier's point total paced the SEC for midfielders and the senior was one of only eight midfielders to eclipse the 30-point mark during the past season. Her 31 points also was the fourth-among midfielders honored by TopDrawerSoccer.com's annual postseason list.

The Dallas, Texas native's goal tally ranked fifth in the nation and topped the SEC among midfielders. Ramsier was one of just six in the country to register 30-plus points and have 12 or more goals during the 2016 campaign.

Ramsier's goal total was second on the team only to Kristen Dodson's 13. Together, the duo became the second Auburn pairing to produce double-digit goals in the same season.

In her 2016 season alone, the midfielder netted a team-leading six game-winning goals, which ended as the ninth-best total by any player in the nation. She also added seven assists, good for fourth on a team that finished fourth in the country in total assists with 55.
