MLB
Garrett Cooper (1B, Miami Marlins)
2022 (87 games): .274/.343/.420, 28 R, 84 H, 22 2B, 1 3B, 7 HR, 42 RBI, 28 BB

After playing in just 105 games in the last two seasons, Cooper made his first career All-Star appearance last month and is on pace to set career-best numbers in nearly every offensive category. He went on the 10-day IL after being hit by a pitch in the wrist at the end of July and hit a two-RBI double in his first game back on Aug. 3. Cooper ranks in the top 20 in the National League in batting average and doubles.  

Josh Donaldson (3B, New York Yankees)
2022 (88 games): .222/.304/.383, 36 R, 70 H, 21 2B, 10 HR, 40 RBI, 35 BB, 2 SB

In his first season in New York, Donaldson has helped lead the Yankees to the best record in the American League as he has played in 88 of the team's first 109 games. The 2015 AL MVP and 2019 NL Comeback Player of the Year leads the Yankees and ranks 24th in the AL in doubles. He hit his 10th homer of the season against Seattle on Aug. 2 and is hitting .286 with two doubles, a homer and five RBI in six games this month.  

Casey Mize (RHP, Detroit Tigers)
2022 (2 games/2 starts): 0-1, 5.40 ERA, 10.0 IP, 13 H, 6 R/ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 1.50 WHIP

After being named to MLB Pipeline's 2021 All-Rookie Second Team, Mize made just two starts in 2022 before being shut down with an elbow injury on Apr. 15. He began a rehab assignment on May 9 but was ultimately place on the 60-day IL on May 31 and underwent Tommy John surgery on June 15.

Josh Palacios (OF, Washington Nationals)

Another former Auburn Tigers who made his MLB debut in 2021, Palacios was called back up to the big leagues following the trade deadline earlier this month. He made his Nationals debut on Aug. 2 and went 2-for-4 with a run the following day. Palacios started the season in Buffalo but has spent the majority of the season with Triple-A Rochester, leading the team in average (.299) and on-base percentage (.378) while ranking second on the team in slugging (.437), tied for second in stolen bases (18), third in RBI (44) and fourth in hits (78). Palacios went on an 18-game hitting streak from July 4-30 and hit .322 during the month before his call-up.  

Keegan Thompson (RHP, Chicago Cubs)
2022 (22 games/14 starts): 8-5, 3.48 ERA, 93.0 IP, 87 H, 42 R/36 ER, 31 BB, 83 K, 1.27 WHIP

After making his MLB debut last May, Thompson has emerged as one of the Cubs arms in 2022, leading the team and ranking 16th in the National League with eight wins. Thompson is also tops among Cubs pitchers with 10 or more starts in ERA and ranks second in strikeouts and innings. He allowed just one unearned run on two hits with one walk and eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings at the Dodgers on July 8 and recently earned his eighth win, allowing two unearned runs on four hits with no walks and seven strikeouts in a season-high 7.0 innings against Pittsburgh on July 26.
 TRIPLE-A
Davis Daniel (RHP, Salt Lake Bees – Los Angeles Angels)
2022 (13 games/13 starts): 3-4, 5.34 ERA, 59.0 IP, 61 H, 40 R/35 ER, 21 BB, 49 K, 1.39 WHIP

Daniel made it all the way to Triple-A in his first professional season in 2021 and was called up to the Angels on June 11 but did not make an appearance before being sent back to Salt Lake on June 14. He was in Salt Lake's starting rotation up until his call-up but has made just four starts since his return to Triple-A. Daniel is currently rated by MLB.com as the Angels' No. 14 prospect.

Grant Dayton (LHP, Salt Lake Bees – Los Angeles Angels)
2022 (36 games): 0-1, 4.74 ERA, 1 SV, 38.0 IP, 36 H, 24 R/20 ER, 17 BB, 46 K, 1.39 WHIP

A five-year big leaguer, Dayton currently finds himself a teammate of fellow former Auburn pitcher Davis Daniel with the Salt Lake Bees after starting the season with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. His 36 appearances are the most in a professional season since 2016, and he hasn't allowed a run in three appearances this month.  

Daniel Robert (RHP, Round Rock Express – Texas Rangers)
2022 (23 games): 0-2, 5.25 ERA, 2 SV, 24.0 IP, 22 H, 14 R/ER, 17 BB, 34 K, 1.63 WHIP

Spending the entirety of the season in Triple-A to this point, Robert has held the opponent scoreless in 15 trips to the mound, including 10 of his last 13 appearances. He has registered a 1.74 ERA with three walks and 18 strikeouts while allowing just four hits in his last nine appearances and 10.1 innings. Robert most recently struck out the side in a 1-2-3 inning against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys on Aug. 5.

Trey Wingenter (RHP, Louisville Bats – Cincinnati Reds)

After making his MLB debut with San Diego on Aug. 7, 2018, Wingenter has pitched in just seven games since the end of that season and is currently on the injured list.
 DOUBLE-A
Tanner Burns (RHP, Akron Rubber Ducks – Cleveland Guardians)
2022 (14 games/starts): 2-3, 3.36 ERA, 56.1 IP, 42 H, 122 R/21 ER, 25 BB, 58 K, 1.19 WHIP

Outside of making just one start in May, Burns has been in Akron's rotation since the season began and ranks third among Rubber Ducks pitchers with 10 or more starts in ERA on a team that ranks third in the league in the category. The former Compensation Round pick has struck out a season-high seven batters in a start on July 9, pitched a season-high 6.0 innings in his next start on July 15 and earned his second win, allowing one run in 5.0 innings in his most recent start on Aug. 6. He is rated by MLB.com as the Guardians No. 12 prospect.  

Sonny DiChiara (IF, Rocket City Trash Pandas – Los Angeles Angels)
2022 (7 games): .333/.563/.524, 3 R, 7 H, 1 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 8 BB

After being drafted in the fifth round last month, DiChiara made his professional debut with Double-A Rocket City on July 30 and reached base five times, going 2-for-2 with two walks, a hit-by-pitch and two RBI. He hit his first professional homer in another multi-hit, multi-RBI effort against the Tennessee Smokies on Aug. 5. DiChiara has reached base at least once in all seven games thus far, including multiple times in six contests.

Bailey Horn (LHP, Tennessee Smokies – Chicago Cubs)
2022 (23 games): 1-2, 3.86 ERA, 3 SV, 35.0 IP, 28 H, 15 R/ER, 24 BB, 46 K, 1.49 WHIP

Horn started the season with five scoreless outings and 16 strikeouts in 10.0 innings for High-A South Bend before being promoted to Double-A. He didn't allow a run in four appearances and 8.0 innings from July 6-22 and earned back-to-back saves on July 22 and 26. Horn most recently struck out three batters in 1.1 scoreless innings against Rocket City on Aug. 7.

Edouard Julien (IF, Wichita Wind Surge – Minnesota Twins)
2022 (79 games): .293/.428/.489, 50 R, 82 H, 12 2B, 2 3B, 13 HR, 47 RBI, 66 BB, 12 SB

According to Twins Daily, Julien turned in the second-best offensive season by a Twins minor leaguer in 2021 and is in the midst of a similar offensive season at Double-A in 2022. Julien has collected a hit in 19 of his last 20 games and is currently hitting .346 in six games during August. He ranks second in the Texas League in walks (66), sixth in on-base percentage (.428) and seventh in OPS (.917). The left-handed slugger turned in his second multi-homer game of the season on July 30 and drove in a franchise record seven RBI in a game earlier this season. Julien was named a 2021 MiLB.com Organizational All-Star and is currently rated by MLB.com as the Twins' No. 23 prospect.

Matt Scheffler (C, Arkansas Travelers – Seattle Mariners)
2022 (49 games): .260/.376/.314, 30 R, 44 H, 5 2B, 2 3B, 22 RBI, 29 BB, 4 SB

After working his way through two levels of A-ball last year, Scheffler has spent the entirety of the 2022 season with Double-A Arkansas. He collected a season-high three hits in back-to-back games and went 8-for-13 in three games against Wichita from July 13-16 en route to hitting .359 during the month. Scheffler has multiple hits in five of his last 13 contests.  

Ryan Watson (RHP, Bowie Baysox – Baltimore Orioles)
2022 (19 games/17 starts): 7-5, 3.45 ERA, 1 SV, 91.1 IP, 79 H, 38 R/35 ER, 19 BB, 98 K, 1.07 WHIP

Similar to Scheffler, Watson worked his way through A-ball in 2021 and has spent the entirety of this season with Double-A Bowie. After making his first two appearances in relief, the big right-hander entered the starting rotation and has made 17 straight starts. Watson earned his seventh win in 5.0 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts in his most recent start on Aug. 7. He leads the Eastern League in ERA, WHIP, innings pitched and strikeouts and is tied for the league lead in wins. Watson also leads all qualified Orioles minor leaguers in ERA while ranking tied for second in wins and fourth in strikeouts.
 SINGLE-A
Ryan Bliss (IF, Hillsboro Hops – Arizona Diamondbacks)
2022 (92 games): .203/.281/.315, 48 R, 72 H, 14 2B, 1 3B, 8 HR, 30 RBI, 33 BB, 24 SB

The 42nd overall pick of the Diamondbacks a season ago, Bliss leads Hillsboro in games played and runs while ranking second in hits and stolen bases, tied for second in homers, third in doubles and tied for fourth in RBI. The second-year pro hit a season-best .258 during July and is 7-for-20 with two homers and four RBI during his current four-game hitting streak. Bliss is currently rated by MLB.com as the Diamondbacks' No. 13 prospect.

Calvin Coker (RHP, Stockton Ports – Oakland Athletics)
2022 (16 games): 1-0, 1.17 ERA, 2 SV, 23.0 IP, 23 H, 7 R/3 ER, 4 BB, 20 K, 1.17 WHIP

Prior to this season, Coker spent the last two years recovering from elbow surgery but has worked his way back and has turned in a 1.17 ERA across three levels this season. Making his first appearance since Sept. 1, 2019, on June 10, Coker has allowed just two earned runs since his first appearance of the year. He didn't allow a run in seven appearances and 10.1 innings from June 25-July 17, turning in back-to-back saves during the span, and has yet to allow a run since being called up to High-A Lansing on July 26.

Will Holland (IF, Cedar Rapids Kernels – Minnesota Twins)
2022 (84 games): .223/.331/.359, 45 R, 61 H, 11 2B, 4 3B, 6 HR, 35 RBI, 39 BB, 21 SB

Holland has spent the entirety of the season with High-A Cedar Rapids and has turned in career bests in multiple offensive categories including average, runs, hits, RBI and stolen bases. Holland ranks tied for third on the club in games played and leads the team in stolen bases while ranking third in walks. He collected a season-high three hits on Aug. 5 and is hitting .429 in six games this month.

Jack Owen (LHP, Lansing Lugnuts – Oakland Athletics)
2022 (30 games/8 starts): 7-5, 2.86 ERA, 3 SV, 72.1 IP, 62 H, 30 R/23 ER, 19 BB, 80 K, 1.12 WHIP

After making 23 appearances and posting a 3.41 ERA with three wins and three saves in the California League, Owen was promoted to Lansing on June 23 and has turned in better numbers at the higher level. The second-year lefty who leads all Oakland minor leaguers in ERA is 3-0 with a 0.51 ERA in his last three starts and 17.2 innings pitched since July 23. He has struck out 14 and issued three walks while allowing 11 hits during the span. Earlier this season, Owen was named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week after allowing just one baserunner in 6.0 innings.

Richard Fitts (RHP, Tampa Tarpons – New York Yankees)
2022 (16 games/starts): 3-8, 5.28 ERA, 75.0 IP, 73 H, 47 R/44 ER, 16 BB, 90 K, 1.19 WHIP

In his first taste of pro ball this season, Fitts ranks second on the Tarpons in innings pitched and third in strikeouts and is fanning batters at a 10.8 K/9.0 IP rate. The hard-throwing righty earned his third win of the season in his most recent start on Aug. 5 and was named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the second time this year for his effort – 6.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 7 K. Fitts is rated by MLB.com as the Yankees' No. 28 prospect.

Peyton Glavine (LHP, Fredericksburg Nationals – Washington Nationals)
2022 (9 games): 0-0, 1.23 ERA, 14.2 IP, 8 H, 2 R/ER, 7 BB, 19 K, 1.02 WHIP

Glavine allowed just two runs in his first seven appearances before being shut down with an injury on May 10 and is just beginning a rehab assignment at the Rookie League level. He pitched a scoreless inning with a walk on Aug. 5 and matched a season high with four strikeouts in 2.0 scoreless innings on Aug. 8.

Cody Greenhill (RHP, Fredericksburg Nationals – Washington Nationals)
2022 (26 games): 1-0, 3.28 ERA, 2 SV, 35.2 IP, 28 H, 15 R/13 ER, 9 BB, 58 K, 1.04 WHIP

A second-year pro, Greenhill ranks third on Fredericksburg in appearances and tied for seventh in strikeouts despite ranking 11th in innings pitched. The bullish right-hander has turned in a 6.44 strikeout-to-walk ratio and is striking out 14.6 batters per 9.0 innings while walking just 2.3. Greenhill turned in a 0.90 ERA in seven appearances during July and struck out 18 batters while issuing one walk in 10.0 innings during the month. He has turned in back-to-back saves to start August.

Tyler Miller (3B, Salem Red Sox – Boston Red Sox)
2022 (88 games): .206/.287/.325, 46 R, 67 H, 7 2B, 1 3B, 10 HR, 39 RBI, 34 BB, 15 SB

Miller has played in 88 of Salem's 101 games this season, good for the third most on the team, and is second on the club in home runs while ranking fifth in hits and tied for fifth in RBI. Miller turned in his second-highest monthly average of the season during July and has multiple hits on a pair of occasions to start August.  

Brody Moore (IF, Palm Beach Cardinals – St. Louis Cardinals)
2022 (8 games): .217/.286/.261, 2 R, 5 H, 1 2B, 2 RBI, 3 BB, 2 SB

After being drafted in the 17th round, Moore was assigned to Palm Beach and collected a hit in his professional debut with the club on July 29. He went 2-for-3 with a double on Aug. 2 and drove in the first run of his professional career the following day. He has reached base at a .318 clip this month and has a RBI in two of the last four games.

Steven Williams (C, Fredericksburg Nationals – Washington Nationals)
2022 (48 games): .247/.373/.325, 24 R, 41 H, 7 2B, 2 HR, 22 RBI, 32 BB, 2 SB

In his first full season of pro ball, Williams has played in 48 games and ranks fifth on the Fred Nats in on-base percentage. He is 3-for-8 with a run and two RBI in his first two appearances during August. Earlier this season, Williams hit a walk-off single in the 10th inning of a dramatic win on July 30 and homered twice in a span of three games from July 2-4.
 ROOKIE
Blake Rambusch (IF, ACL Mariners – Seattle Mariners)
Season stats (2 games): .333/.556/.500, 3 R, 2 H, 1 2B, 2 BB, 1 SB

Rambusch was drafted by Seattle in the 15th round and was assigned to the ACL Mariners on Aug. 2. He doubled in his first professional at-bat on Aug. 5 and has a pair of hits while reaching base in five of nine plate appearances to start his pro career.
