NORMAN, Okla. – Auburn men's golf junior J.M. Butler and sophomore Brendan Valdes were named PING Honorable Mention All-Americans, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday.

Butler earns All-American status for the second conservative season after a second team nod a year ago. Valdes is a first-time All-American selection. They are the 34th and 35th All-Americans in Auburn golf history.

Not only did the duo spearhead Auburn's five tournament wins and the nation's leading team scoring average, but they also combined for six top-five finishes, 13 top-10 finishes, 44 rounds below par and nearly 300 birdies.

Valdes smashed the program's single season scoring record with a 70.03 average while Butler finished second all-time, just behind Valdes, with a 70.14 clip.

With the All-American recognition, both men complete the full sweep of postseason honors as they were previously voted All-SEC and All-Region.

Butler and Valdes will return the The Plains for the 2023-24 golf season.
