AUBURN, Ala. – Prior to starting Southeastern Conference play this weekend, No. 23 Auburn (13-3) will travel to Madison, Alabama, to take on UT Martin (6-8) Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at Toyota Field.  

The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on Wings 94.3 FM. It will also be streamed digitally on War Eagle Plus.

Tuesday’s game will mark the fourth straight season Auburn has played at Toyota Field.

The Tigers are 3-0 in games played at Toyota Field and have outscored the opponents 25-6.

Auburn is 32-7 in non-conference games dating back to the beginning of last season, including 13-2 in midweek games the last two years.

Auburn has double-digit hits in 10 games this season, including each of the last three and nine of the last 11 contests.

The Tigers are 11-0 when outhitting the opponent this season.

Auburn enters the week ranked in the top 25 in the country in average (.329), hits (176), home runs (24) and on-base percentage (.443).

Cooper McMurray has four home runs in the last four games and is one homer shy of cracking the top 10 in program history in the category.

Alex Petrovic is set to make his second career start Tuesday.

The sophomore allowed one run in 2.2 innings in his first start vs. Wright State on Feb. 22.

The Tigers are fielding .982 and rank third in the country with 17 double plays this season.

Auburn is 2-0 all-time against UT Martin with the previous meetings taking place in 2019. 

SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS

UT Martin enters the week with a 6-8 overall record and is coming off a win vs. Samford in which it won with a walk-off grand slam.

Offensively, the Skyhawks are hitting .278 and have scored 99 runs on 131 hits, including 21 doubles, seven triples and 15 homers. Junior utility player TJ Grines leads the team with a .385 average and is 14-for-15 in stolen bases, while infielder Brody Capps leads the way with four homers and 18 RBI.

On the mound, UT Martin has turned in a 7.46 team ERA with 96 strikeouts and 81 walks in 114.2 innings pitched. Junior lefty Zach Wager will make the start and is 1-1 with a 7.04 ERA in four appearances, including one start, and 7.2 innings pitched.
