AUBURN, Ala. – Three Auburn tennis student-athletes have earned Academic All-District honors, the College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday. Nicholas Heng and Will Nolan from the men’s tennis team, along with Ava Hrastar from the women’s team, each received All-District honors.

Auburn graduate student Ava Hrastar, who is pursuing a master’s degree in administration and supervision of curriculum, holds a 4.0 GPA. The Duluth, Georgia, native already has two degrees: a Master of Business Administration from Ole Miss and a bachelor’s in business administration from Georgia Tech. Hrastar was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in both 2021 and 2022.

In her only season on the Plains, Hrastar made program history as part of the second Auburn doubles team to reach the NCAA Doubles Championship semifinals alongside DJ Bennett in the fall. The run earned her ITA Doubles All-American status for the second time in her career. She posted a 26-12 overall singles record this season and a 14-7 mark in dual matches between the No. 2 and No. 3 singles positions.

Heng, a redshirt sophomore, holds a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in political science. In 2023, he was named to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete. He also earned a spot on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll in 2024.

This season, Heng played a pivotal role in Auburn’s singles and doubles lineups, posting a 24-15 overall singles record and a 17-8 dual-match mark, primarily at the No. 6 singles position. He delivered four match-clinching victories this season, including wins over Georgia, Kentucky, Arkansas and LSU.

Will Nolan recently earned his degree in exercise science from the Auburn University College of Liberal Arts. The senior was named to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2022 and to the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll in both 2023 and 2024.

Nolan, a team captain, anchored the Tigers throughout the 2024-25 campaign, competing at the top of both the singles and doubles lineups. In the fall, he and doubles partner Billy Blaydes became the first Auburn pair to win the ITA Southern Regional Doubles Championship since 2009 and earned a bid to the NCAA Doubles Championship in November.
