AUBURN, Ala. – Sophomore Avery Glynn of the Auburn equestrian team was named the 2024-25 National Collegiate Equestrian Association’s Fences Rider of the Year, the NCEA announced Thursday.

“I’m proud of Avery for being recognized for her outstanding season,” head coach Jessica Braswell said. “It is very difficult to go undefeated in an event throughout the entire year, especially with the schedule we face. I’m happy that her hard work and consistency were recognized.”

Glynn, a Petaluma, California native, finished the year at 13-0-0 overall in Fences and finished the regular season with a 5-0-0 mark vs. SEC opponents. She was named SEC Fences Rider of the Year and picked up First Team All-American and All-SEC honors for her efforts.

In addition, she earned three Most Outstanding Performer honors this year, including being named the Fences MOP in the SEC Championship Semifinal match up. She had two scores in the 90s this year and was named NCEA and SEC Rider of the Month in March for her efforts in the event.
