As a Junior
Spring 2021: Played two singles matches ... Won an exhibition match against Samford's Samantha Nanere, 6-4, 6-0 ... Played at the No. 6 position against South Florida's Margriet Timmermans, was one game away from a win when the match was halted, leading 6-2, 5-3 ... Named to SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Fall 2020: Went 3-6 in singles and 1-7 in doubles ... Won two matches at SEC Challenge in Tuscaloosa ... Picked up doubles win with Selin Ovunc over Vandy's Lee/Staff, 6-3, in final match of fall season ... Defeated Alexa Bortles (Ole Miss), Samantha Buyckx (LSU) and Tenika McGiffin (Tennessee) in fall singles matches ... Enrolled at Auburn in fall 2020 after transferring from Fresno State.
As a Sophomore (2019-20 at Fresno State):
Posted an 8-7 singles record playing primarily at the No. 1 position ... went 2-9 in doubles ... Won four straight singles matches early in the season, claiming victories over opponents from Pacific, BYU, San Francisco and Fresno City College ... Also picked up a 6-4, 6-0 singles win at the No. 1 spot against Oregon.
As a Freshman (2018-19 at Fresno State):
All-Mountain West Singles Team selection … became the only player in the Mountain West since Fresno State joined the league (2012-13) to win at all six singles positions … highest winning percentage of all freshman in the Mountain West at 86.7 (13-2) … held second highest winning percentage of all players in the Mountain West (overall/dual) for the 2019 season … went 2-0 at the No. 1 position, and 4-1 combined in the top two spots after moving up for the last five matches of the season … the 13 singles wins was the third most of any freshman in the Mountain West … was one of five players in the conference with two or less losses during the dual season … held an 8-5 overall record in doubles play, going 6-3 with A.C. Hummel.
Prior to College:
Ranked as high as No. 1 overall in home country of Israel during high school … one of few Israeli players to earn a WTA ranking … ranked as high as 1,127 in singles and 1,190 in doubles … Won multiple national tournaments … was part of the U18 Israel national team.
Personal:
From Bat-Yam, Israel … served in the Israel Defense Force as a colonel’s clerk for two years … chosen among a select group of female athletes as a “gifted athlete,” a program that allowed her to combine her tennis career with her military service … parents are Rachel and Gadi Azran … has a twin brother, Dor, and an older brother, Ran … hobbies include playing different sports, spending time with family and friends and watching movies.
