NCAA Outdoor Championships Final Results

Eugene, Ore. - Auburn junior Marshay Ryan earned first team All-America honors in the women's triple jump after finishing eighth at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at Hayward Field. Ryan, who was seond at the championships a year ago, recorded her longest jump of 13.22m/43-4.5 on her fourth jump of the day.

Ryan is the first Auburn triple jumper to record consecutive first-team All-America honors in the triple jump since Michelle Vaughn in 2006-07. After fouling on her first two passes, Ryan came through under pressure, jumping 13.17m/43-2.5 to move into eighth and advance to the finals.

Senior Rachel Dincoff finished 11th in the discus after posting a best throw of 53.81m/176-6, bettering her 20th place finish in the event a year ago. In the process, Dincoff earned second-team All-America honors, her third outdoor honors in her career.

Auburn ended the meet with eight individuals earning a total of 10 All-America honors including first-team honors for Ryan and men's senior triple jumper Shawn Johnson. Johnson claimed fifth in the men's triple jump Friday after finishing fifth, Auburn's highest finisher in the event since Leevan Sands claimed gold in 2004.

The Auburn men finished tied for 57th in the team standings, while the women were tied for 63rd.
