The Auburn University Sports Medicine Department is committed to providing comprehensive, high-quality healthcare to our student-athletes. Through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, our team strives to promote the health, safety, and overall well-being of every student-athlete while supporting their pursuit of excellence in academics, athletics, and life beyond competition.
Our sports medicine team consists of 20 full-time certified athletic trainers, two full-time performance physical therapists, and nine certified intern and graduate assistant athletic trainers. In collaboration with orthopedic consultants from the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center, as well as a network of healthcare professionals throughout the Auburn-Opelika community, our staff provides coordinated medical care and support for approximately 500 student-athletes competing across 21 NCAA Division I sports in the Southeastern Conference.
