The Lowder Student-Athlete Development Center is adjacent to the Auburn Athletics Complex and across the street from the South Donahue Residence Hall. The development center houses the Student-Athlete Support Services staff in addition to multiple classrooms for mentor and tutoring sessions. Under normal circumstances the facility is open six days a week:
Sunday – 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Monday-Thursday – 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Friday – 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(The facility closes at 8:00 p.m. during the Summer)
The support staff's mission is to promote, assist, and provide counsel to all student-athletes, whether scholarship or walk-on, in the areas of academics, eligibility, career counseling, and healthy behaviors.
The primary goal of the development center is to cultivate graduates from Auburn University who have contributed in the arenas of athletic competition during their tenures of education, who are articulate, confident, poised, positive, cooperative, and mature decision-makers, and who are outstanding examples of Auburn University's commitment to the development of the whole individual.
