SAAC - Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The mission of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience and offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect the student-athlete experience. The committee is comprised of two current Auburn student-athletes from the 21 sports on campus. The committee provides student-athletes with a voice to the administration, conference office, and the NCAA. SAAC Executive Officers and Representatives meet once a month and all student-athlete are welcome to attend.

SAAC OBJECTIVES

  • Discuss and address the concerns of student-athletes
  • Promote effective communication with the Auburn University Athletics Department
  • Administration, coaches, staff, student-athletes and campus personnel
  • Provide input on NCAA, SEC, and Auburn University policies
  • Inform students on changes that affect the athletics program & student-athlete welfare
  • Coordinate, implement and promote community service projects for all varsity teams
  • Exhibit and encourage a cohesive student-athlete community
  • Promote leadership development and opportunities
  • Work in conjunction with the Student-Athlete Enhancement Program
  • Assist with the planning and production of the annual AUSPY's Award Show
