Black Student-Athlete Council

Overview

The Black Student-Athlete Council exists to provide a safe, educational, and authentic space where Black athletes discover their identity and develop the skills necessary to succeed in their sport and personal life. This council will aim to be an environment where Black athletes feel comfortable in their own skin. The B.S.A.C. will establish a community where athletes can share their lived experiences, voices, and foster relationships. This council will play a large part in enhancing the overall experience of student-athletes at Auburn, while building a community to benefit generations of Black athletes to come. With a focus on culture, representation, and inclusion; the Black Student-Athlete Council will serve as a tool to develop the confidence and identity of Black athletes and prepare them for life beyond sports.
