ATHENS, Ga. -- Auburn was unable to pick up its first SEC road victory of the season, falling 63-30 at Georgia Thursday night.

The Tigers (13-8, 3-5 SEC) played a strong first quarter and were tied with the Lady Bulldogs (15-6, 3-5) after the opening 10 minutes. But Auburn went ice-cold after that point, hitting just 6-of-32 shots from the floor over the final three quarters. Meanwhile, Georgia shot 42 percent for the game and controlled the offensive glass, pulling down 18 offensive rebounds.

"This was probably our worst game all year," Auburn head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy said. "Not just in offensive production, but from a defensive standpoint, too. We had a lot of distractions in our preparation this week, and it showed today.

"We've got to talk about our effort out on the floor. It started in the first quarter but it didn't continue. That's something we're definitely going to have to address. It was more effort than anything else."

Tra'Cee Tanner led Auburn with six points, and Khady Dieng had five. Tanner, Erica Sanders and Cabriana Capers shared the rebounding lead with five apiece.

The Tigers forced 20 Georgia turnovers but committed 24 of their own. For the game, Auburn shot 27.7 percent from the field, a season-low, and had their third game this season without a 3-point field goal. Georgia out-rebounded the Tigers 46-29. Georgia's 18 offensive rebounds led to 15 second-chance points.

The Tigers will return to action Monday night, Feb. 1, at LSU. Game time is 6 p.m. CT at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La.
