AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn women's tennis has signed Madeline Meredith of Birmingham, Ala., the top-ranked player in Alabama and No. 23-ranked recruit in the United States, head coach Lauren Spencer announced Wednesday.

"We are beyond thrilled to sign Madeline Meredith for our fall 2017 school year," Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. "Maddie is one of the most athletic and talented players in the 2017 class and we know that she will come in and make an immediate impact in our singles and doubles lineups. We believe that she has what it takes to compete at the highest level of college tennis. It is very exciting for us to sign an in-state talent, who is also an Auburn legacy."
