NCAA Singles and Doubles fields announced

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Two singles players and one doubles pair will represent Auburn Women's Tennis at the 2017 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships. The singles and doubles tournaments are set for May 24-29 in Athens, Ga. at the conclusion of the team championship.

"Every one of these girls are extremely deserving of this selection into the NCAA Tournament," Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. "All three of them have fought extremely hard all season and I look forward to watching them compete at the highest level."

Juniors Alizee Michaud and Andie Dikosavljevic will both make their second straight appearance in the singles competition. Michaud will also make her second straight appearance in the doubles competition with partner Taylor Russo.

Michaud finished the regular season with an SEC-best, 33 singles victories, with 14 coming against ranked opponents. The junior currently stands third on Auburn's single season wins list.

In doubles, Michaud paired with Russo to lead the Tigers with a 19-10 record, with six wins over ranked opponents. Most recently, the duo took down Georgia's Ellen Perez and Caroline Brinson, which are the sixth seed in the doubles tournament.

Making her second-straight appearance in the singles tournament, Dikosavljevic finished the regular season with an 18-10 (5-3 SEC) record, with seven wins over ranked opponents. She was selected Second-Team All-SEC for her performance this season.

The Tigers (23-10) are set to take on DePaul (17-7) in the opening round of the NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament on Friday, May 12. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m. CT at Yarbrough Tennis Center.
