Auburn, Ala. - Auburn men's tennis has been selected as the SEC representative to the inaugural Albany College Tennis Invitational, to be held this fall at the oceanside Albany Resort in New Providence, Bahamas.

Michigan from the Big Ten and Georgia Tech from the ACC will also be part of the field competing September 22-23. Four players from each squad will compete in singles and doubles action.

"This will be an incredible experience for our players, both on and off the court," Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds says. "It's exciting to be chosen as the SEC representative for this inaugural event. It's an amazing facility - Lleyton Hewitt helped develop the tennis program - and we will get the chance to face players from two Top 20 teams in Georgia Tech and Michigan during play on Friday and Saturday nights.

"This also gives our guys a chance to experience the resort and interact within that international community, and make contacts that will help them beyond college. It will be a worthwhile experience for everyone involved."

Fall semester classes begin at Auburn on Monday, August 21. The Tigers begin the fall tournament schedule September 15-17 at the Duke Bonk Invitational in Cary, N.C.
