Starting XI

Auburn returns home for a three-game set at the Auburn Soccer Complex, opening up with High Point.

The Tigers and Panthers have met only one time in series history with Auburn taking a 4-1 result at the Auburn Soccer Complex in 2012. In that match, Tori Ball bagged a brace, while Alexa Allen and Mary Coffed each found their name on the scoresheet.

Auburn is 111-68-15 in the month of September all-time, including 2017. The Tigers have netted 371 goals (1.91 per match) and allowed 259 (1.34 per match). Over that span, Auburn has secured 69 shutouts, including 54 under head coach Karen Hoppa.

The Tigers are 12-2-2 in matches played after facing back-to-back ranked opponents all-time, including 5-1-0 when playing at the Auburn Soccer Complex.

Auburn was picked to finish sixth by the SEC coaches in the annual preseason poll. The Tigers trail Florida, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Missouri and Arkansas in the poll.

Seniors Kristen Dodson and Courtney Schell were joined by junior Sarah Le Beau and sophomore Bri Folds as honorees on the SEC Preseason Watch List.

Entering 2017, Auburn is 38-13-2 against non-SEC foes in the regular season since 2010.

The Tigers boast 19 underclassmen on their roster this season, including 12 freshmen. In contrast, Auburn touts 10 upperclassmen with six seniors leading the charge.

Auburn set a program record with 17 wins a season ago and reached the NCAA Quarterfinals for the first time in team history.

Head coach Karen Hoppa has coached 15 winning seasons at Auburn with nine of them being 12-win seasons.

Senior midfielder Courtney Schell and junior goalkeeper Sarah Le Beau were voted the team captains and will wear the "C" armbands throughout the season.

Player to Watch: Taylor Troutman

Junior Taylor Troutman came to Auburn as a forward, but has solidified her spot along the back line as a dangerous playmaker. The Toms River, N.J. native has six career goals to her tally, including four against non-conference foes. Two of her three career game-winning goals have come against non-SEC foes - one in a 1-0 victory against Baylor in 2016 and the other in the season-opening 3-0 win versus South Alabama in 2017.
