AUBURN, Ala. - As a result of her efforts off the court, Auburn women's tennis senior Andie Dikosavljevic has been named as a member of the 2018 SEC Community Service Team.
Despite the major commitment of being a collegiate tennis player, the Sunshine Coast, Australia, native has also found time to work with the Young Women's Leadership Program this year. In doing so, she has spent time at Auburn Junior High School mentoring 8th grade girls.
Dikosavljevic focuses mainly on teaching the girls life skills. After mentoring a "Little Sister" last year, Dikosavljevic has been a group facilitator this year, which consists of organizing small groups and making sure the "Big Sisters" are presenting the program each week. On top of that, Dikosavljevic also helps sort out any relationship issues between the "Bigs" and "Littles."
On the court, Dikosavljevic has also had a successful season, going 11-5 in singles and 6-2 in doubles in the regular season. During those stretches, Dikosavljevic was able to also go on a five-game winning streak in singles and a six-game winning streak in doubles.
Dikosavljevic's next action will be in the second round of SEC Tournament at 11 a.m. CT on Thursday, April 19, in Knoxville, Tenn., when Auburn takes on the winner of Missouri and Arkansas.
