AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn is ranked No. 19 in the final preseason poll released by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) this week.

The Tigers appeared in all six preseason polls – ranked No. 15 by Perfect Game/Rawlings, No. 17 by Baseball America, No. 19 by NCBWA, No. 20 by USA TODAY, No. 22 by D1 Baseball and No. 23 by Collegiate Baseball.

Auburn is one of eight teams from the Southeastern Conference ranked in the top 25. The Tigers will take on six teams in the preseason top 15 this season, including the top two teams in Vanderbilt and LSU on the road.

Auburn finished the 2018 season ranked No. 10 in the NCBWA poll, one spot shy of where the team stood in the USA TODAY Coaches poll, which marked the program's highest end-of-season ranking since 1998.

The Tigers are coming off a record-setting season in which the team went 43-23, won the Raleigh Regional by outscoring its opponents 40-12 and advanced to the second super regional in program history and the first since 1999.

Auburn started the season 15-0, marking the second best start and third longest winning streak in program history, and ultimately notched its highest win total in a season since 2010. Last season also marked the first time the Tigers advanced to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments since 2002-03.

Ten days prior to Opening Day, Auburn prepares to build on its momentum with a team led by junior Davis Daniel, Will Holland and four returning freshmen All-American in Tanner Burns, Cody Greenhill, Edouard Julien and Steven Williams. The Tigers also welcome 18 newcomers to the 2019 roster.

Auburn begins the 2019 campaign with a three-game series against Georgia Southern from Feb. 15-17. Season tickets, which cost $195 per seat, cover Auburn's 32-game home schedule and include 15 SEC contests.
