BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Tannon Snow was a focal part of Auburn's first series win at Tennessee since 2002, and as a result, was named the Southeastern Conference's Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Snow, the Tigers' junior third baseman, slashed .667/1.889/.700 to help Auburn take two of three against the then-No. 5 Volunteers over the weekend. She collected six hits in nine at bats, hit three home runs, a triple and drove in eight runs while also scoring four. She's currently riding a career-long 15-game on-base streak and has at least one hit in 17 of her last 21 games.

"I thought Tannon played, all-around, exceptional well," said Auburn head coach Mickey Dean. "She was a mainstay for us on defense — making some great plays — but she was also consistent (at the plate) the entire weekend. She had a great first game, with the seven RBI, but just had a great series hitting the ball throughout the entire week. She seemed extremely comfortable the entire weekend, which was nice to see."

Snow's weekend got off to strong start with a 4-for-4 performance, including two two-run home runs, at the plate Saturday afternoon. It marked the second time this season she's hit two home runs in a game (Furman, Feb. 17). The four hits set a career high for the Chino Hills, Calif., native, while the seven RBI did as well.

Snow became the first Auburn player with seven RBI in a game since Kasey Cooper had seven against Arkansas on April 17, 2016. She was the first Tiger player to have four hits in a game, since Kendall Veach had four against Tennessee State (Feb. 8) to open the 2019 season.

During the first game of Sunday's doubleheader, Snow cracked a solo home run over the left-field fence her third home run of the weekend and her 100th career collegiate hit (28, Washington; 73, Auburn).

Snow and the Tigers will return to action at Jane B. Moore Field with a three-game series against South Carolina, which starts on Friday, April 12 at 6 p.m.
