AUBURN, Ala. – The SEC's Player of the Week awards made their 2019 debut on Monday, and both Jeremiah Dinson and Bo Nix were among those recognized by the league following Auburn's come-from-behind victory over Oregon on Saturday.

Dinson was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Auburn defense with 13 tackles. It was his second career game with double-digit tackles. He recorded 15 tackles against Mississippi State last season. The senior safety also had two tackles for loss Saturday as well as a sack, the third of his career.

The only thing that mattered to Dinson, though, was the final score.

"I don't care about individual things – stats and awards and things like that," Dinson said after the game. "I want big picture. Big picture was to leave here with a win, and that's what we did."

Nix took home SEC Freshman of the Week thanks to an unforgettable performance that included a game-winning touchdown pass, a 26-yard toss to Seth Williams, with less than 10 seconds remaining Saturday night. Playing in his first college game, the true freshman quarterback orchestrated three touchdown drives in the second half to lead Auburn to victory.

Nix finished 13 of 31 through the air with 177 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for 42 yards on seven carries, including a critical 3-yard run on 4th-and-3 to keep the final drive alive and allow for him to throw the touchdown to Williams.

"He has some savviness to him," Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn said after the game. "When the game is on the line, you have to make plays and that's the one thing he showed."

Next up for Auburn is a home game against Tulane on Saturday.
