Elise Panzner joined the Tigers from Spring Hill, Fla., and brings power to the Auburn lineup. The freshman brings another solid vault to the Plains and is looking forward to the opportunity to compete for the Orange and Blue.
Q: Do you have any pre-meet superstitions?
A: I always eat a banana before I compete.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
A: I wish I could fly, I think that's really cool.
Q: Do you have any pets, if so what are their names?
A: I have two dogs. I have a labradoodle named Chip and a golden doodle named Nico.
Q: What is the best vacation you've ever been on?
A: Hawaii
Q: What is your favorite season?
A: Summer, because I love to go to the beach.
Q: What has been the highlight of your gymnastics career so far?
A: Being able to have the opportunity to come to Auburn and compete on this team.
Q: What is your favorite Auburn sport other than gymnastics?
A: Everyone loves football, but our basketball team is also really fun to watch.
Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you put in your backpack?
A: I really love avocados so I would bring some of those, some water, and my phone.
Q: What is your favorite dessert?
A: I love chocolate chip cookies, but especially the ones that are really gooey in the center.
Q: What is your favorite fruit and least favorite vegetable?
A: My favorite fruit is watermelon and my least favorite vegetable would be eggplant.
Q: If you could trade places with any famous figure for a day, who would it be?
A: Ariana Grande
Q: What meet are you most looking forward to this year?
A: The Auburn-Alabama meet. That one will be so exciting.
Q: What is your go-to salad dressing?
A: Balsamic Vinaigrette
Q: What is your favorite Auburn tradition?
A: Rolling Toomer's Corner.
Q: What is your favorite gymnastics event to compete in and which do you find the most challenging?
A: I love to compete in vault. It's quick-paced and you just go for it. The most challenging for me personally would be beam because it requires a lot of focus and you have to be really tight and if one thing is off you have to try and fix it pretty quickly.
Q: If you could give a message to all your fans and the Auburn Family what would it be?
A: Watch out for us this year because we're ready to compete.
