Auburn baseball 2020 signing class: Kade Snell

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn baseball program and head coach Butch Thompson announced the addition of another pitcher in Kade Snell Wednesday afternoon.

Snell is the second of two southpaws in the class and hails from Dothan, Alabama. He is a product of Wicksburg High School and the Duluth Noles.

"I love everything about Auburn," Snell said on signing day. "Everything is so close, and you feel like a family there. I'm just thankful that the coaches have welcomed me like I was one of their own. I'm looking forward to next season."

Snell is rated by Perfect Game as the No. 3 southpaw in the state and the No. 29 overall player. He was also named a 2019 Perfect Game Preseason High Honorable Mention All-American.

The left-hander is 8-3 on the mound during the last two seasons, going 5-0 as a sophomore, and has posted ERAs of 1.57 and 2.18, respectively. He has struck out a combined 160 batters in 94.1 innings during the span.

The two-time Class 3A All-State honoree has also been a threat at the plate for Wicksburg, turning in averages of .438 as a sophomore and .453 as a junior. He drove in 37 runs as a sophomore and struck out just two times in 78 at-bats as a junior.
