The Auburn men's tennis team hosts Louisville in a 1 p.m. CT match Sunday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center in Auburn.
The Tigers are 2-2 on the spring season; Louisville is 4-0. Louisville's Tin Chen is ranked No. 71 nationally in singles.
Auburn was originally scheduled to play Friday at Tulane in a match that has been postponed because of inclement weather.
"We don't know much about Louisville; they have a new coach and we don't get to see them too often regionally," Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds said. "Ultimately, if we can make balls and make it a dogfight on each court on every point, that's where we're going to have success.
"We just have to go back and be disciplined, want to be disciplined every point, and want to be disciplined at positions one through six, not just a few out of the six. It's going to be the key going forward, whether it's this weekend or into SEC competition.
"I'm happy in the sense that I think we're going to be playing outdoors. The slower courts, the extra wind, sun, the longer points – I think it benefits us as a whole one to six. I'm happy when we can play outdoors."
All Auburn home tennis action is at the Yarbrough Tennis Center (1717 Richland Road, Auburn). Fans wearing face coverings are welcome to attend any matches played outdoors; fans may want to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating to remain socially distanced. If weather moves the match indoors, only participants and officials will be admitted.
