AUBURN, Ala. – Junior Olivia Tordoff of the No. 3 Auburn equestrian team added another monthly award to her credit as she was named the SEC Horsemanship Rider of the Month for February, the league office announced Wednesday.
The Powell, Ohio product was honored as the NCEA Horsemanship Rider of the Month for February on Monday.
She went 3-0-0 on the month, helping the Tigers also finish undefeated as a team. She captured all three MOP honors and averaged a 75.6 with a 5.3 margin of victory. In addition, she guided Auburn to a 12-1-2 record in Horsemanship for the month.
Tordoff kicked off February with a nine-point win at South Carolina (2/5), scoring a 75 on the road for MOP.
She followed with back-to-back 76s against nationally ranked opponents at home. Tordoff helped Auburn sweep then-No. 10 Delaware State (2/12) with a three-point victory and MOP. She capped the busy month with a four-point win over her then-No. 2 Texas A&M opponent and once again took MOP honors.
The Tigers return to action as the No. 2 seed at the 2022 SEC Championship. The two-day tournament will be held at the Auburn University Equestrian Center, March 25-26.
