BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Auburn Volleyball's series sweep over Texas A&M solidified its first 20-win season since 2010 and freshman Kendal Kemp was right in the thick of the action, picking up SEC Freshman of the Week for her efforts.

The youngster out of Eagan, Minnesota has been nothing short of fabulous in her first season in the Orange and Blue. This weekend proved no different.

Kemp racked up nine kills on .467 hitting, adding four timely blocks in the Tiger's first win over the Aggies. On Saturday, the 6'6" middle blocker dialed up an even more impressive performance, swinging for another nine kills and adding eight blocks, three of them solo.

On the season, Kemp has tallied a whopping 135 total blocks, ranking No. 9 in the country and first among freshmen. She is also only eight blocks away from resetting the Auburn single-season record.

The announcement marks the eighth weekly award for head coach Brent Crouch this season, the most in Tiger history. It's also the second honor for Kemp, previously taking the crown after her Auburn debut at the Panther Invitational.

Kemp and co. will be back in action on Friday in Oxford, Mississippi for a matchup with Ole Miss. The Tigers return to Neville Arena on Friday, Nov. 25 for its final regular-season series with Arkansas.
