FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Auburn men's golf junior C.J. Easley led the trio of Tiger individual performers with a 1-under, 71 in Monday's opening round of play at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
Easley sits seven strokes behind tournament leader Cole Sherwood of Vanderbilt and is the fifth-lowest scoring individual player in the field.
Sophomore Ryan Eshleman carded a 2-over, 73 to sit just outside the top-50 on the individual leaderboard.
Turning in a 5-over, 76 sophomore Max Johnson finished round one tied for 74th.
The trio returns for the second round of competition with Johnson teeing off on the 10th hole at 11:15 a.m. CT.
