AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn softball head coach Mickey Dean announced the 2022 fall exhibition schedule on Wednesday, which consists of eight road contests spread out over September and October.
"Due to facility projects currently on-going at Jane B. Moore Field, our fall slate will be played entirely on the road," Dean said. "This gives us an opportunity to strengthen team chemistry while traveling and play in front of the Auburn Family across the state."
The slate of games, which includes three doubleheaders, features contests against two NCAA Division I opponents, one NCAA Division II squad and five National Junior College Athletic Association programs.
Auburn's fall season begins on Sunday, Sept. 25 with a doubleheader slate at UAB. The Tigers will take on Pensacola State at 3:30 p.m. CT before facing the Blazers at 6 p.m. CT.
The Tigers are slated for its second Sunday doubleheader on Oct. 2 in Hanceville, Alabama. Auburn will take on NJCAA powerhouse Wallace State at 12 p.m. CT. The Lions are coming off its 14th Alabama Community College Conference championship and a quarterfinal appearance in the 2022 NJCAA Division I National Championship. Auburn is slated to face Chipola College at 2 p.m. CT.
On Sunday, Oct. 9, Auburn will travel to Montgomery, Ala., for a single contest at Alabama State. First pitch is slated for 12 p.m. CT.
Making its lone out-of-state trip of the fall, Auburn treks to Panama City, Florida, on Oct. 16 to face Pearl River Community College and Gulf Coast State in a pair of games. The doubleheader is slated for a 10 a.m. CT start.
Auburn closes its fall season on Sunday, Oct. 23, facing AUM at 12 p.m. CT.
