Auburn Cross Country Travels To Knoxville
To Compete In South Regional

AUBURN- Auburn's men's and women's cross country teams left for Knoxville, Tenn., on Thursday, Nov. 14, in order to prepare for the South Regional Cross Country Championships set for Saturday, Nov. 16, at Lambert Acres Golf Club in Maryville, Tenn.
The meet, hosted by the University of Tennessee, will start at 9 a.m. with the women's 6,000-meter race, while the men's 10,000-meter race gets underway at 10 a.m. A brief awards ceremony will occur approximately 35-40 minutes after the men's race.
The women are hoping to place higher than last year's finish of ninth, while the men are looking to improve upon a 12th place finish.

LAST YEAR AT THE NCAA SOUTH REGIONAL
Last year, the Tigers traveled to Birmingham, Ala., where the men finished twelfth and the women finished ninth. The Tigers had one individual qualify for the NCAA Championships, Alexis Hamblet.
Top Finishers at the SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Tigers went to Gainesville, Fla., on Nov. 4, to compete in the SEC Championships with the women taking fourth with 117 points and the men placing sixth with 152 points.

Auburn's top runner Catherine Wanyoike will look to add to the impressive times she has put up so far this season. The Kiambu, Kenya native, has finished the four races she competed in this season no lower than third place.

After finishing third at the SEC Championships, Wanyoike was named first team All-SEC.
