 Andrew Heath

Q: What is the best or most rewarding part about running?
A: Being a part of the team.  Running with the guys everyday is a lot of fun and you really bond with people that you run a lot of miles with.

Q: What is the worst part?
A: Waking up early for morning practice.

Q: What is the hardest part?
A: We do some pretty tough workouts twice a week

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Dr. Strangelove or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb

Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Auburn?
A: The Great Wall

Q: When did you realize you were a good runner?
A: When I first started running my sophomore year of high school, I won my first cross-country race and that is when I realized I had some talent in this sport.

Q: If you could run anywhere in the world, where would it be?
A: I would say through the moors of northern England.

Q: What has been your greatest accomplishment running so far?
A: I guess my biggest moment of glory was getting second in state in the mile my junior year of high school.

Q: What is your major and what do you want to do with it when you graduate?
A: Civil engineering and I want to design bridges.

Q: What has been your favorite class so far at Auburn?
A: Physics II, but not because of the class as much as because of the kids that were in it with me.

Q: What is your ultimate goal as a long distance runner?
A: To make the Olympics.

Q: If you could play for any Auburn team, which would you play for?
A: The football team.

Q: What position would you play?
A: Running back because they get all of the glory.

Q: What is your favorite band?
A: My favorite band is probably the Starting Line right now.

Q: Does music help you run?
A: Sometimes.  It gets you pumped up or help you relax.  We always say that when we are running, we would run so much better if there was music going on at the same time.

Q: Do you listen to music before you run?
A: Not normally.  If I do I listen to classical music to help me relax.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you ever received concerning running?
A: To have confidence in yourself and that you can run with whoever is in the field.  Running is almost all mental.  The physical work is the easy part.

Q: Who is your favorite U.S. President?
A: Andrew Jackson.
