HOMAN AND WANYOIKE QUALIFY FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Sophomore Angela Homan and senior Catherine Wanyoike turned in impressive performances at the NCAA South Regional on November 15 and qualified to compete in the Championships on the 24th. Wanyoike is no stranger to the NCAA Championships, as she qualified and competed at the 2002 meet. She finished 74th overall last season.

Homan finished the 6K run in third place with a career-best time of 20:50.16. Wanyoike came in a close sixth with a time of 20:57.35. Homan and Wanyoike have led the Tigers across the finish line at all meets this season.

The two women travel to Waterloo, Iowa, on November 24th for the 2003 NCAA Championships. The women's race is scheduled to begin at 12:15. The University of Northern Iowa hosts the event on the Irv Warren Memorial Golf Course at Byrnes Park.

As a team the women placed fourth at Regionals, placing six runners in the top-50. Dawn Morgan finished 29th (21:50.17), Kylee Swanson placed 44th (22:20.05), Caitlin Reese came in 45th (22:20.86) followed by her twin sister Sarah at 46th (22:24.75).

HEATH EARNS ALL-REGION HONORS
Sophomore Andrew Heath was named All-Region after his performance at Regionals. Heath finished the race in 23rd with a time of 31:10.20. He has paced the Tiger runners all season and has captured two individual titles.

As a team, the men improved one place from last season to finish eighth. David Riddle crossed the line second for Auburn, placing 33rd overall (31:27.32). Chris George (52nd, 32:02.05), Patrick Mouser (57th, 32:17.68) and Scott Fuqua (62nd, 32:21.48) rounded out the top finishers for Auburn.

HOMAN WINS SEC CHAMPIONSHIP; AUBURN PLACED TWO ON ALL-SEC TEAM
At the 2003 SEC Championships, hosted by the University of Georgia, Homan captured the women's individual title. This marked the first SEC title for Auburn. She completed the 6K in 21:49.76. With the win, she earned first team All-SEC honors.

Wanyoike's ninth place finish earned her a spot on All-SEC second team. She finished the race in a time of 22:35.47.
