Andrew Heath Awarded Cross Country Athlete of the Week

Birmingham, Ala. - Junior cross country runner Andrew Heather was awarded the SEC Male Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor after his performance at the Georgia State Invitational this past Saturday.
In the Tigers season opener in Atlanta, Heath, a native of Marietta, Ga., paced the Tigers team with a second-best collegiate performance in the 8K. His time of 25:35.14 earned him an individual victory and helped lead the Tigers to a team title as well.
Auburn’s men dominated the field at the Georgia State Invite as they took the top seven spots and earned 15 team points. Auburn defeated Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Troy and Mercer for the team victory.
The Tigers will return to competition on Sept. 25 at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Penn.
