Tulsa, Okla. - Alex Schweizer fell in the third round of the Polo Ralph Lauren Championship singles qualifier Wednesday, but because of his high qualifier ranking, he is still alive and will continue to play in the championship bracket.
Schweizer was defeated by Jonathan Sucupira of Florida State 7-6 (3), 6-4.
Schweizer, along with doubles partner Terence Nugent, will continue action Thursday in the championship draw. The pair will take on Georgia Tech's sixth-seeded David North and Marko Rajevac at 5 p.m.
Schweizer is also set to play Adam Holmstom of Denver in the singles championship draw at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
