Homan Selected As Individual Qualifier For NCAA Championships

AUBURN, Ala. - For the third straight year, Auburn senior Angela Homan has been selected as an individual qualifier for the Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, as announced by the NCAA on Monday.

Homan was one of thirty-eight individuals selected to the NCAA Championships, which will be held on Nov. 21 at 12:15 p.m. in Terre Haute, Ind. She qualified for the championships by finishing second at the NCAA South Regional on Saturday.

In order for an individual to qualify for the championships, one must be finish among the first four athletes who are not part of a qualifying team. The NCAA also selected an additional two athletes from each region. All runners must finish in the top 25 to be eligible.

In Homan's two trips to the NCAA Championships, she finished 32nd in 2003 and ninth in 2004.
