No. 36 Auburn Loses Close Match to No. 28 Georgia Tech

Atlanta, Ga. - The No. 36 Auburn Tigers lost another close match 4-3, Sunday to No. 28 Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

The Tigers fought hard in doubles, but were unable to come through with a win, and lost their first doubles point of the season. However, AU came away with three singles victories. No. 83 Robbert Lathouwers remains undefeated in singles with a win over Zachery Rath 2-6, 6-2, 6-0.

Milan Krnjetin came back from his first set and defeated David North 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, in the three spot. Also winning at singles for the Tigers was sophomore Pawel Dilaj, who defeated Jordan Delass 7-6, (7-2), 6-4.

The Tigers return to action at the Luther Young Tennis Complex Friday, March 3, to open Southeastern Conference play against the Kentucky Wildcats at 1:30 p.m. On Sunday, AU will take on the Vanderbilt Commodores at 1 p.m., in Auburn.
