The Rebels pulled away from the Tigers early on Sunday afternoon, scoring six times on four hits and one Auburn error in the bottom of the third as Ole Miss defeated the Tigers, 12-1, at Swayze Field.

Ole Miss starter Lance Lynn (3-2) shut down the Tigers from the mound, surrendering one run on four hits in six full innings.

AU starter Chris Dennis suffered the loss to fall to 1-3 on the year as he allowed nine runs, only five of which were earned, on eight hits in 3.2 innings of work.

The top three in Ole Miss' order were a combined 7-for-13 with four runs scored and five RBIs.

Ole Miss moved to 19-13, 6-6 SEC on the year while Auburn dropped to 15-20, 4-8 SEC.

The Tigers will remain on the road for their fifth consecutive game away from Plainsman Park as AU travels to Mobile for a Tuesday night game at South Alabama. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Stanky Field.
