Auburn Men Finish Fourth At Great American Cross Country Festival

HOOVER, Ala. -

The Auburn men's cross country team finished fourth while the women did not record a finish at the Great American Cross Country Festival this past weekend.

On the men's side, The Tigers finished with 129 points behind Emory (37), Warner Southern (90) and Columbus State (104).

Freshman Mark Flemming led the way, finishing in 11th. Freshman Josh Pawlik placed 19th, while junior Elliot Smith David Wall finished 24th. Freshman David Wall placed 26th and junior Zach Olsen took 49th.

On the women's side, Auburn did not record a score because its fifth runner did not finish the race.

Junior Becca Bell led the way for AU with a time of 20:29.90, while junior Jessica Smith finished with a time of 10:35.00. Sophomore Laura Steele came in at 21:02.40 and sophomore Katie Stringfellow finished in 22:04.70.
