Auburn Women To Compete At Pre-Nationals Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -

The Auburn women's cross country team will be one of 88 teams competing on the women's side of the Pre-Nationals Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 14 in Terre Haute, Ind.

"I am really excited about this race," head coach Pete Watson said. "It is going to be a great opportunity to challenge ourselves and see where we are as a team compared to the nation's best."

AU last raced on Sept. 30, and finished second as it hosted the Auburn Invitational. The Tigers were led by freshmen Miriam Arusei and Sabrina Fischer who finished ninth and tenth, respectively.

The meet will feature 45 of the top 60 teams in the nation. Auburn will participate in the 6K White Race, which will begin at 11:35 a.m. There are two equally seeded races on both the women's and men's side that each feature 35 teams.
