Sophomore Fani Chifchieva fell in the second round of the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Qualifier on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Chifchieva defeated Sarah Anundsen of North Carolina, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 to advance to the second round, but fell to Shadisha Robinson of South Florida, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. She was one of 32 players left trying to qualify to the main draw of the tournament, which features eight singles players.
The Tigers will next be in action on Oct. 19-22 at the ITA Regional Championships in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
