AUBURN - AUBURN-A total of 19 Auburn student-athletes graduated as part of the Auburn University Fall 2006 graduating class on Friday. The graduates represent nine of Auburn's sport programs, including six from football, two each from baseball, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's track and women's tennis and one from softball, women's track and men's tennis.
"These Auburn graduates and the University should be proud of what they have accomplished during their time as Tigers," said Virgil Starks, Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student Services. "They have been successful on and off the field and will continue to make an impact within the state of Alabama and our country."
Among the 19 graduates include one Olympian, four All-Americans, seven All-SEC performers, two World Championship medalists and seven SEC Academic Honor Roll recipients.
"Auburn athletes achieve success through hard work and dedication," said Starks. "It is through those principles that they will be successful in their future endeavors."
The graduates collectively hail from five states and four countries.
