The No. 68 Auburn Tigers fell to No. 3 Georgia Tech, 7-0 on Saturday at the <?xml:namespace prefix="st1" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"?>Bill Moore Tennis Center in Atlanta. With the loss, Auburn drops to 3-2 on the year, while Georgia Tech moves to 7-1.<?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?>
The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, as Whitney McCray and Kristi Miller defeated Alex Haney and Melissa Koning, 8-6 at the No. 1 spot.
On the No. 2 court, Kelly Adams and Whitney Chappell dropped their match to Tarryn Rudman and Alison Silverio, 8-2. The Yellow Jackets completed the sweep as Amanda Craddock and Kirsten Flower slipped past Fani Chifchieva and Jil Hastenrath, 8-5.
Tech kept it rolling in singles as No. 15 Miller got past Chifchieva, 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 1 position. The Jackets moved it to 3-0 as Haney dropped her first match of the year, 6-0, 6-3 to No. 82 Silverio.
No. 95 Christy Striplyn picked up a straight sets win with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Koning. No. 64 Amanda Craddock picked up a win over Hastenrath, 6-0, 6-4. At the No. 6 spot, Adams was defeated by Amanda McDowell, 6-1, 6-1. At the No. 4 spot, Chappell fell to Rudman, 6-3, 6-3.
Auburn will head to Louisville, Kent., to face Louisville on Feb. 23 at 2 p.m., and Ohio State on the 24th at 10 a.m.
