The No. 21 Auburn baseball team surrendered two runs to Florida in the top of the first and was never able to reign in the Gators after that, falling 10-3 on Sunday afternoon at Plainsman Park.

Freshman Joseph Sanders went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI for the Tigers.

After jumping out to the two-run lead in the first, Florida (14-13, 4-2 SEC) built a 4-0 lead in the fourth before Sanders singled in Dustin Spruill (0-for-2, 2 BB) and Robert Brooks (1-for-4) to make it 4-2.

Florida tacked on a run in the fourth before widening its lead to 9-2 with a four-run sixth. The Tigers answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning on Sanders two-out RBI double that scored Spruill but that would be the end of the scoring for the Tigers (18-9, 0-6 SEC) on the afternoon.

Starter Evan Crawford (3-2) was charged with the loss, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and a walk in 5.0 innings.

David Hurst (1-0) earned the win out of the pen for Florida, surrendering a single run in 5.0 innings.

Auburn hits the road for a mid-week game at Mercer on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 6 pm ET at Mercer's Claude Smith Field.
