AUSTIN, Texas - The 21st-ranked Auburn men's golf team is tied for 12th after an opening round 16-over 304 under sloppy conditions in the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the par-72, 6,906-yard Austin Country Club Monday.
Play was suspended after four holes in the second round due to inclement weather. Second round scores have been wiped out and will start over Tuesday, and the tournament has been reduced to 36 holes.

"No one played particularly well, and we putted very poorly," head coach Mike Griffin said. "It is a little surprising to see some teams playing as well as they have in these conditions. These are not good scoring conditions. I take my hat off to them for playing some remarkable golf. Hopefully we can come back and do a lot of damage in 18 holes tomorrow."
Kent State's David Ludlow holds the individual lead at 6-under 66, two shots ahead of Purdue's Vince Nadeau (68).
The Tigers tee off in the final round of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate Tuesday at 9:24 am with New Mexico and Texas Tech. Live stats can be found at www.golfstat.com.
