After two rounds of play at the Bryan National Collegiate, the third-ranked Auburn women's golf team remained in seventh, carding a 27-over 315 at the par-72, 6,386 Bryan Park Champions Course.
"We got off to another rough start today and weren't able to recover," head coach Kim Evans said. "We need to come out tomorrow and make some adjustments. This is our final round before the SEC Tournament in two weeks. I hope we are able to come out with a better start and gain momentum that will carry over through the entire round."
Seventh ranked Florida leads all team after shooting a 6-over 294 on Saturday. The Tigers (301-315--616) are 24 strokes off the Gators (298-294-592). Top-ranked Duke (292-301--593) and No. 15 Purdue (290-303--593) are tied for second.
Individually, Candace Schepperle leads all Tigers as she is in 22nd after shooting a 5-over 77. Nicole Hage carded a 7-over 79 and stands in a tie for 35th. Hage is followed by Margaret Shirley, who shot a 10-over 82 (t-46th), while Abigale Schepperle is in a tie for 53rd after shooting a 7-over 79. Marisa Milligan carded another round of 8-over 80 and is in a tie for 60th.
Duke's Amanda Blumenherst (73-71--144) and Purdue's Aria Hernandez (71-73--144) are tied for the lead.
