No. 10 Auburn Men's Golf Tied For Eighth At The Bank Of Tennessee

JONESBOROUGH, TENN. - The No. 10 Auburn men's golf team (288-575) carded an even-par second round to finish the day tied for eighth after playing the first two rounds of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the par-72, 7,147-yard Ridges Golf Club.

Senior Jay Moseley (70-140) is tied for seventh, six shots off the individual lead. Junior Glenn Northcutt (73-142) is tied for 15th.

Junior Keith White (72-146) is tied for 40th. Seniors Patton Kizzire (73-147) and Gordon Strother (73-147) are both tied for 45th.

"We had a chance to come out with a really great round today but we let it slip through our fingers," said head coach Mike Griffin. "We played the well on the tough holes and then some of the easier ones gave us some problems. We can still have a good tournament here."

No. 12 Wake Forest (278-564) holds a one-shot lead over tournament host East Tennessee State (283-565), followed by Virginia Tech (280-567), Tennessee (278-568), Kent State (280-568), North Carolina (280-569), Coastal Carolina (283-571), No. 10 Auburn (288-575), No. 2 South Carolina (284-575), Kentucky (295-578), No. 23 UAB (285-579), North Carolina State (285-579), Virginia (288-585), Maryland (288-585) and Vanderbilt (294-595).

Tennessee's Chris Paisley (64-134) holds the individual lead, three shots ahead of Wake Forest's Brendon Gielow (67-137) and North Carolina's and Robert Riesen (66-137).

Third round action begins Sunday with Auburn teeing off on the front nine at 8:30 a.m., being paired with South Carolina and Coastal Carolina.
