Kylee Rossi's goal in the 38th minute was the first of two for the Tennessee forward as Auburn fell in Knoxville, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon to fall to 9-7-1, 5-5-0 SEC.

"You have to give Tennessee and Kylee Rossi a lot of credit. She is a special player," Auburn Head Coach Karen Hoppa said. "They came out and played with confidence and we played timid. It's a little frustrating and disappointing because we could have and should have been better."

Rossi's game-winner came from inside the six as Julie Edwards fed her the ball from just inside the 18 and the junior finished it off with her ninth goal of the season.

Rossi put the match out of reach in the 59thth minute when she split two Auburn defenders in the box and went upper-90 for her 10th goal of the season.

Emily Redberg scored the other goal in the 55th minute for Tennessee, which improves to 13-2-2, 8-1-1 SEC and maintains its lead in the overall SEC standings.

Auburn, which has already clinched its seventh straight SEC Tournament berth, closes out the regular season on Friday, Nov. 2, in Tuscaloosa when it battles rival Alabama for the Iron Bowl of Soccer Trophy at 7pm CT.
