AUBURN - An Auburn rally in game three came up short Friday night as Auburn (11-19, 3-16 SEC) lost in a sweep to Ole Miss (24-7, 13-6 SEC) in the Gillom Sports Complex.

"It was an ugly match in game one on both sides of the court, but each team found a rhythm in games two and three and could have been either team's game, we just came up on the short end," said head coach Laura Farina. "Liz Crouch had a great night on defense and it was nice to see Jessica Glover playing well on the outside."

After falling 22-30 and 27-30 in the first two games, the Tigers battled back to a 29-29 tie late in game three. But, Ole Miss came out of a timeout to pick up back-to-back points for the 31-29 game and match win.

"This team hasn't given up all year," said Farina. "It is uncomfortable to watch on the bench , but they seem comfortable coming from behind and working their way into the match, we just ran out of time."

Senior Rachel Shanks led the Tigers with 17 kills on a .234 hitting night. She capped off the double-double with 10 digs. Jessica Glover and Sara Shanks also posted double-doubles in the match. Glover finished with 10 kills and 17 digs while Sara Shanks came in with 43 assists and 10 digs.

Freshman libero Liz Crouch finished off the night with 23 digs, her sixth match of the season with 20 or more digs. It gives her a total of 376 digs this season and ranks her sixth all-time at Auburn in single-season digs with one more match left to play.

Sekulic, with her 11 digs in the match, improves to 939 career digs, moving to the No. 10 spot on the Auburn career digs list. She joins fellow senior Rachel Shanks on the list; Shanks ranks third with 1,162.

Auburn wraps up the regular season on Sunday at LSU. The match is set for a 1:30 p.m. start in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

"I'm excited about the match with LSU and about our game plan," said Farina. "It is our final match of the season and we have nothing to lose - just go out and play hard."
