No. 14 Auburn (239-579) finished second round action in fifth place at The Hootie at Bulls Bay at the par-71, 7,282-yard Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C.

Jay Moseley (73-143) leads the Tigers, finishing the day tied for 11th. Glenn Northcutt (74-145) is tied for 23rd. Gordon Strother (73-146) and Patton Kizzire (73-146) are tied for 30th, with Jamie Bowen (76-148) tied for 44th.

"We got off to a really good start this morning but hit a couple of double-bogeys on holes eight and nine that really seemed to take the wind out of our sails," said head coach Mike Griffin. "A good day tomorrow and we can jump right back in this thing."

No. 16 South Carolina (286-566) retained its lead from round one, followed by NC State (297-567), No. 21 Clemson (284-569), No. 9 Florida (284-570), No. 14 Auburn (293-579), Lamar (294-580), Augusta State (298-582), No. 18 UCF (291-582), LSU (295-585), Virginia Tech (295-585), No. 17 Wake Forest (297-588), Charleston (300-591), Kentucky (297-593), No. 12 Duke (301-595), and Baylor (291-597).

NC State's Matt Hill holds the individual lead followed by Wake Forest's Webb Simpson (71-139) in second. Clemson's Phillip Mollica (71-140) and Clemson's Kyle Stanley (69-140) are in a two-way tie for third.

The final round of the 3-day, 54-hole event is set to begin Sunday morning. The Tigers tee off on from front nine with Florida and Lamar at 10:40 am CST.
