AUBURN - Auburn sophomore guard Reneisha Hobbs was the guest speaker at Camp Mountain Top held at Lakeview Baptist Church Thursday. Camp Mountain Top is a free camp for children with physical disabilities.
Hobbs, a social work major from Huntsville, Ala., spoke to the children about her experience as an Auburn student-athlete. She told the children several stories about playing basketball with her older sister, junior guard Sherell Hobbs. Hobbs also encouraged the children to set goals to help them fulfill their dreams. After taking questions from the students, she led them in a "War Eagle".
Hobbs was suffered a season-ending ankle injury last year, but is expected to return to the Tigers lineup this fall. As a freshman, Hobbs played in 25 contests, averaging 2.5 points and 1.2 rebounds a game.
